Description
David George interviews Nicky Jose at Cadgwith Cove on ‘Buller Day’, an annual gig rowing event. She talks about competing in the S.C.C.R.A. - South Cornwall Cove Rowing Association before the gig club was formed. She also talks about completing a sponsored row for charity in the Cornish Pilot Gig ‘Sussex’ loaned by boatbuilder Ralph Bird. She explains how following this, Ralph offered to build Cadgwith a gig if they could raise the money and describes how ‘Buller’ was consequently built alongside the formation of the Cadgwith Gig Club.
