Description

Cornish Pilot Gigs 'Newquay' and 'Treffry' racing into the harbour at Newquay. Both were built by the Peters family of St Mawes around 1812 and 1838 respectively. All modern Cornish Pilot Gigs are based on the ‘Treffry’ and ‘Newquay’ was the oldest known Cornish Pilot Gig.
